When engaged in siege operations the Elite of Tusculum Nova will call upon their Heavy Siege Armour squads. This armour variant is a development of the standard heavy armour suit and has been adapted to house enhanced shoulder armour pieces with build in personal shield technology designed to protect the wearer from attack from above when engaged in breaching operations. The added protection allows these troops to function even when under direct attack from defenders on the walls above. Most Siege Elite troopers are equipped with twin rocket grenade launchers, and augmetic combat hands, whilst one in five will carry a twin long barreled HMG in order to provide firepower at a greater distance.
